How long would it take to have my negatives developed and receive the digital files by e-mail?

Our usual turnaround time is 2 working days, but if it’s urgent, let us know when you drop off your film roll and we can try to have it ready within 24 hours at no extra charge. For B&W films, special processes or Frontier scans, the usual turnaround time is 3 days.

I don’t live in Barcelona city, but I’ve heard great things about your analog film processing. How can I send you my film rolls?

On our website, we have a dedicated section that explains the process clearly, step by step. Once we receive your film, we will process it within 24 to 48 hours.

I’m going on a trip soon and I’d like to bring my analog film rolls with me. How should I protect them from the UV radiation of airport scanners?

We recommend using low ISO film, such as ISO 100 or 200, since it is less sensitive to UV rays and to changes in temperature, humidity, etc. If you are a professional or happen to own one, the ideal solution would be to place your film inside a specialized lead-lined bag for better protection. If you don’t have one, it’s usually not a major issue: the film may lose a little contrast and saturation and the grain might change slightly, but nothing more. In some cases, a wave-like pattern may appear in the shadows, although this is very rare.

I would like to print my analog photos. What options do I have?

Great choice — otherwise, memories often end up forgotten in a folder on your phone or computer. Plus, you can always gift one of your analog shots to someone special or frame it to decorate your home or workspace. We offer several types of printing, from traditional chemically developed photographic paper, available in glossy or semi-matte finishes, to Inkjet printing and FineArt or Giclée printing, ideal for exhibitions or artwork.

I’ve been invited to do an exhibition but I don’t know where to start. What should I keep in mind?

We recommend visiting our lab so we can advise you in detail. There are many aspects to consider, from paper type and print size to mounting and framing. You can also call us or contact us by e-mail and we’ll be happy to help.
When preparing your files, make sure they are in RGB color mode, JPEG or 8-bit TIFF format, and use the standard ADOBE RGB 1998 color profile to avoid surprises. We can also make test prints before starting the final production, allowing for better control of the final result. You can send us your files via TRANSFER NOW or bring them personally on a USB drive.

We noticed that in the negative scanning section you mainly mention two types of scanners: Noritsu and Frontier. Which one is better in each case?

Both scanners are professional high-end machines that guarantee excellent image resolution and reliable color reproduction. That said, for professional clients we recommend the Noritsu scanner: it usually delivers smoother tonal transitions, softer contrast, higher resolution and shorter turnaround times.
On the other hand, the Frontier scanner is highly recommended for enthusiasts looking for a more nostalgic 90s look, with images that are more contrasty and imperfect. In addition, this scanner allows the black borders of the negative to be scanned as well — a true delight.
